Christy Brumfield Baggett is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association and a Suzi Bass Award Nominee. A performing
vocalist since 1985, her credits include appearances at the Fabulous Fox Theatre's Theater of the Stars, the
Tony Award winning Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Lyric Theatre, Theatrical Outfit, Serenbe
Playhouse, Actor's Express, Theatre in the Square, Stage Door Players, Synchronicity Theatre,
Aurora Theatre, and ART Station. Notable roles in her very lengthy theatrical pedigree
include Jen in John & Jen (Serenbe Playhouse), the Baker's Wife
in Into the Woods (Theatre Arts Guild), Pam Sakarian in Baby (Legacy
Theatre), Claire in Ordinary Days (Serenbe Playhouse), Audrey in Little
Shop of Horrors (Theatre Arts Guild), Ida in Honk! (Alliance Theatre), Betty
Blake in The Will Rogers Follies (Atlanta Lyric), and Velma Von Tussle in Hairspray
(Atlanta Lyric) for which she was nominated for a Suzi Bass Award for Outstanding Performance by a Featured
Actress in a Musical.
Vigorous with the love of performing, and gifted with vocal strength and comedic delivery, she has also appeared
as Lana Mae in Honky Tonk Laundry (ART Station), Lin in The Great American
Trailer Park Musical (Actor's Express), Betty Jean in Winter Wonderettes
(ART Station), Peg/Ensemble in A Christmas Carol (Alliance Theatre),
and Delores/The Caterer in A Catered Affair. In 2012, Christy will be making her Theater
of the Stars debut at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in Annie. For Melpomene
Records, Christy Brumfield Baggett originates the role of Madame de Volanges on the Complete Original Concept recording
of Dangerous Liaisons.
